The Nelson Soccer Association (NSA) is a non-profit community soccer association whose mission is to provide all soccer players, coaches, officials and parents in Nelson and the surrounding area with programs and opportunities to learn, play and excel in the sport of soccer.
Kerry Dyck Memorial Scholarship:
Awarded annually to 2 graduating players who demonstrate exceptional sportsmanship, community involvement, and dedication to the game. Applications open in Spring.
Selection Process
- Applicants must be graduating from high school and pursuing post-secondary education at College or University. Proof of registration from a post-secondary institution is required before funds will be released.
- These awards are based on dedication to playing soccer, including volunteering services to the soccer community.
- Chosen applicants will be presented with an award letter at the graduation ceremony. An e-transfer will be sent to the successful applicants.
Application Process
- Fill out the application form by May 1st.
- An introduction including any academic and athletic achievements.
- Describe your soccer history.
- Outline the details of your service to the community
- Outline your future plans and goals.
- Include a copy of your latest grades.
- Attach a letter of reference and support from a coach or teacher outlining your contribution to soccer and personal qualities.
