Join a Committee

You don’t need to be a member of the Board of Directors, a coach, or a manager to contribute to Nelson Soccer. Our committees are always looking for new ideas, new energy, and people who want to help grow the game in our community. If you have a skill, interest, or passion that could support one of these groups, we’d love to hear from you.

Ethics, Conduct and Review Board (ECRB)
The ECRB is committed to the fair, impartial, and transparent resolution of complaints and disciplinary matters. In a small community it can be challenging to avoid potential conflicts of interest, so we are always looking for additional members to serve on this board.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
This committee works to ensure soccer is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for everyone, regardless of race, gender, or socio-economic background.

Marketing and Communications Committee
Have ideas about how to promote soccer in the Kootenays? Interested in helping with newsletters, social media, or sharing stories about what’s happening within NSA? This committee helps connect our community with the game.

Human Resources Committee
This committee supports NSA in ensuring that all employees have appropriate contracts and that the association operates in accordance with BC labour laws and best practices.

Strategic Planning Committee
Want to help shape the future of soccer in Nelson? This group helps guide the long-term vision and direction of the association.

Facilities Committee
Nelson Soccer is committed to expanding programming in our community, but space is essential for growth. This committee focuses on facility planning and field development.

Tournaments Committee
Tournaments are a highlight of the soccer season and rely on the support of volunteers. This committee helps plan and organize these exciting events.

Nelson Selects (Rep) Committee
Interested in supporting our competitive program? This committee helps oversee and support the Nelson Selects representative teams.

Governance Committee
Help NSA develop, review, and refine policies to ensure the organization operates effectively and responsibly.

Fundraising, Sponsorship and Grants Committee
Have ideas for raising funds or securing sponsorships and grants? This committee helps generate the resources needed to support and grow Nelson Soccer.
